Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between BJ Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kahn Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by All Summer Long. Davis has chosen Eminem- Lose Yourself as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, BJ Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kahn Davis! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davis keeps the fight on the outside. Silva scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Davis is being controlled here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Davis can do anything to dispel that myth. Silva tries to move into full mount but can't pass Davis's legs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Davis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Davis is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Silva looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Silva is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Davis has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva tries to move to mount but Davis blocks the move with his legs. Davis tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position. Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Davis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Davis is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Davis wants to get back to his feet.
Davis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Silva is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Davis won't allow Silva to pass to mount. Silva not landing any meaningful shots this time. Silva sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Davis defending well though. Davis tries to roll over but Silva keeps him under control. Silva is looking for a kimura here.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Davis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away. Davis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Davis showed some decent athleticism there. Silva works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis postures up in Silva's guard and throws a big left but Silva blocks it. Davis stopping the sweep attempt from Silva. Silva working for a triangle but Davis defends it easily.
Davis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Silva working for a triangle but Davis defends it easily.
Davis gets to his feet - Silva follows without any prompting. Davis has managed to clinch.
Davis is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Silva can't fight it off and eventually Davis manages to take the fight to the floor. Silva looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that BJ Silva will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Davis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Silva is looking for a triangle but Davis pushes his legs off easily.
Davis wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Silva tries to land a sweep but no joy. Silva lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Davis! He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Davis looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Silva! Submission of the night perhaps?
