Gracie leaves Braz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Braz shoots for a takedown but Gracie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gracie feints and as Braz raises his hands in defense, Gracie changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Braz looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Braz looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Braz!
Braz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gracie is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gracie tries to buck Braz off but Braz is having none of it.
Gracie is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Braz asserts his dominance and retains side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gracie is stalling here. Braz is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gracie seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Braz has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
