The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahal lands with an overhand left.
Mahal fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Sadona is out of range.
Mahal misses with a head kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mahal darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sadona displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mahal throws out the jab.
Sadona fails to land the takedown.
Sadona looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Mahal!
Mahal is desperately trying to improve his position but Sadona has a good base and remains in mount.
Mahal wants to hold on but Sadona pushes him away.
Sadona wants to control the pace but Mahal is squirming around nicely.
Mahal might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mahal tries to improve his position but instead Sadona has taken his back!

Sadona looking to control but Mahal is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Mahal tries to control Sadona's body but Sadona pushes him off. Mahal squirms to his side and now Sadona has his back!

Sadona is trying to stick to Mahal's back but Mahal is turning into Sadona. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sadona's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Mahal.
Sadona controls Mahal momentarily but Mahal frees himself.
Sadona has his foot on Mahal's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mahal works his way back into a safe position though.
Mahal in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Mahal postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sadona is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mahal, into his guard.
Mahal is looking for a triangle but Sadona pushes his legs off easily.
Mahal has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Sadona should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Mahal has tightened it up now! Sadona should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
