Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between wanderlai silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). silva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is knockout. Gracie has chosen Apaga mas não bate as his entrance music. Ryan Gracie has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, wanderlai silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Gracie! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie tries to clinch but silva moves out of range. Ryan Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. silva tries to keep at a distance but Gracie has taken the fight into the clinch. silva wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gracie has him pressed against the cage. Gracie has dropped down and is working for a takedown. silva is trying to keep an underhook but Gracie manages to get the takedown into half guard. Gracie passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for silva! Gracie jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… silva is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by silva and Gracie has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
You can see the frustration on silva's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Gracie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gracie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Gracie working the ground and pound. Gracie is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gracie controls the position. Gracie has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. silva misses with a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. silva defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gracie. silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gracie but Gracie pushes him off and we're back to square one. Gracie misses with a takedown attempt and silva counters with a one-two to the body. silva lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Gracie gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and silva counters with a series of strikes. Gracie will be more careful next time no doubt. wanderlai silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Gracie. Gracie looks gassed! silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gracie to the mat! Gracie manages to get full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now. silva wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Gracie holds on and takes a little breather. silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie has control of silva's left arm, preventing silva from doing any damage. silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, silva has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. silva manages to get himself to full guard.
Gracie drops back looking for a leg! silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and silva manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into silva's guard. Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but silva is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie content to stall in guard here. silva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gracie prevents silva from getting back to his feet. Gracie gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Gracie looking to control the position here, rather than advance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Gracie dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Gracie gets the takedown into side control. Gracie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gracie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The referee asks Gracie politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Gracie prefers to stall for the moment though. Let's hope that Gracie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Despite being in the dominant position, Ryan Gracie just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. silva tries a low kick but Gracie avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gracie. Gracie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... silva is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
