The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Al Fulan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Puma thuds a left hand into Al Fulan's body.

and Puma counters with a two punch combo.
Puma connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Al Fulan's hands.
Puma has closed the distance and engaged Al Fulan in a clinch.

Al Fulan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Puma throws a combination. Al Fulan tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Al Fulan looks to score with a jab to the body but Puma is just out of range.
Puma slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Al Fulan has a takedown stuffed.
Johnny Puma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khaldun Al Fulan.

and Puma cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Puma bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Al Fulan's head.

Puma stuns Al Fulan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Puma is working the combinations to good effect here.
Puma stalks Al Fulan and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Al Fulan's face. Al Fulan staggers backwards, shaken.

Puma throws a series of punches but Al Fulan avoids them all with ease.
Puma stuns Al Fulan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Al Fulan lands a big uppercut and Puma crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Puma looks OK. Al Fulan waves Puma back to his feet!
It looks like Johnny Puma has been cut.

Puma scores with a one two! Al Fulan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Puma is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Al Fulan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Al Fulan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Al Fulan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
