Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bang Smasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bang Smasher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Mir! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Smasher napping and manages to drive through into side control! Mir tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Smasher is looking for a sweep. Mir tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mir has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Smasher prevents Mir from improving position. Mir tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Smasher knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Mir wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Smasher, who protects the arm well. Mir looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Smasher is not content to let Mir control the position. Mir looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Mir tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mir has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Smasher struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Smasher gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Smasher is looking to control Mir's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Smasher avoid being mounted? Mir wants to pass to mount but Smasher is defending the position. Mir sitting and controlling from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smasher moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Mir trying to control the position from guard on top but Smasher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mir preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smasher not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mir won't allow Smasher to sweep him here. Mir thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mir forces his way into half guard. Smasher trying to control but Mir postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Mir shoots in and bounces Smasher off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mir slips nicely into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mir with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir is working for a submission of some sort.
Mir trying to control the action but Smasher is working from the bottom. Mir not landing any meaningful shots this time. Mir is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Smasher tries to get to full guard but Mir has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Mir dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Mir shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mir was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Smasher wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Mir.
Smasher is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Mir controlling the pace for now. Smasher is working to get back to half guard.
Mir quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Mir but it's paid off an Smasher is forced to tap! Nice work by Mir.
