Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Silvestry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silvestry comes to the cage accompanied by Street Fighter. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brandon Silvestry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Simon Singh!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh tries to clinch there but Silvestry circles away.
Singh tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silvestry was well out of range. Poor timing from Singh.
Singh doesn't manage to clinch there - Silvestry circles away.
Silvestry fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Singh gets a takedown into half guard.
Silvestry blocking the ground and pound attempt from Singh.

Singh has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Singh winds up and cracks Silvestry with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Singh is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Silvestry doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Singh.

Singh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silvestry with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silvestry is trying to get back to full guard.

Silvestry has hold of Singh's hands but Singh slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Silvestry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Singh is pressing down on Silvestry's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silvestry is holding on for now.

Singh is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Silvestry is working hard here to advance position.

Singh is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Singh is looking for a kimura here.

Singh looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Silvestry has one foot on Singh's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Singh postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Silvestry looks a forlorn figure.

Singh is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Silvestry has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Silvestry is desperately trying to improve his position but Singh has a good base and remains in mount.
Singh is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Silvestry can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Singh looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Silvestry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Singh on the ground.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Silvestry throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Singh was covering up waiting for the punch and Silvestry finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Singh manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silvestry manages to get himself to full guard.

Singh drops back looking for a leg! Silvestry is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silvestry manages to kick Singh off! Singh jumps back into Silvestry's guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Singh tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Silvestry counters by moving into the clinch.
Singh wants to get back to striking at distance but Silvestry won't allow it.
Silvestry landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Silvestry tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Singh smiles and moves away.
Singh stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Singh wants it to stay on the feet.
No joy there for Silvestry, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
