Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Rash Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rash Jr comes to the cage accompanied by damn it feels good to be a gangsta - Geto Boys. Wallace has chosen Gravel Pit by Wu-Tang Clan as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rash Jr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wallace shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rash Jr defends it nicely. Matt Rash Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Wallace. Rash Jr lands an overhand right. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallace misses with a double jab.
Wallace will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Wallace shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rash Jr pinned against the cage. Rash Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Rash Jr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Xavier Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wallace fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. The fighters circle momentarily. Rash Jr darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Rash Jr lands with an uppercut that bounces Wallace off the cage and back into rage. Wallace shoots in looking for a takedown. Rash Jr tries to sprawl out of it but Wallace keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rash Jr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Wallace shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rash Jr pinned against the cage. Rash Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wallace looks gassed! Wallace checks the leg kick nicely there.
Wallace looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rash Jr is fending him off so far but Wallace persists. Nope, Rash Jr circles away and we're back to standing. Wallace fails to land with a series of punches.

That will dishearten Wallace somewhat. Rash Jr keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wallace. Wallace fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Rash Jr works the jab nicely. Wallace misses with a two punch combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rash Jr keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wallace shoots in and drives through. Rash Jr sprawls well. Rash Jr tries a low kick but Wallace avoids it. Wallace misses with the combination.
Wallace throws a jab but it's blocked by Rash Jr. Rash Jr connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wallace misses with a straight left. Rash Jr lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Wallace misses the shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rash Jr lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Wallace tries to move into range but Rash Jr moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Wallace uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rash Jr. Wallace takes a swing at Rash Jr's ribcage but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wallace uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rash Jr. Rash Jr thows a left - swing and a miss! Rash Jr stuffs the takedown attempt from Wallace. Wallace gets slowly back to his feet. Wallace tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rash Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from Wallace. Wallace shoots for a takedown but Rash Jr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Wallace shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rash Jr as he jumps to the side. Wallace fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rash Jr avoids it really well and circles away. Wallace is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rash Jr is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Wallace.

Rash Jr throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wallace loads up on a big right hand but Rash Jr slips the punch. Wallace takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Rash Jr stuffs the takedown attempt from Wallace. Wallace gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Rash Jr dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Wallace shoots in for a takedown but Rash Jr shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Some bone on bone action there as Wallace checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Rash Jr connects with a single shot there. Wallace tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rash Jr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wallace somewhat. Rash Jr uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Wallace has time to react. Wallace looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Wallace fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rash Jr avoids it really well and circles away. Nice takedown defense from Rash Jr. No joy for Wallace on that attempt. Wallace walks into a straight right hand from Rash Jr. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wallace on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
