Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ang Bak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Vassell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyler Vassell is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ang Bak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Vassell! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vassell tried to score with a low kick but Bak checks it. Nice cross by Vassell.
It looks like Ang Bak has been cut. Bak looks to land a body kick but Vassell moved away. Vassell drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bak dodges the ground and pound from Vassell. The referee asks Vassell politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Vassell prefers to stall for the moment though. Bak is trying to control Vassell's posture but Vassell avoids it. Bak is not content to let Vassell control the position. Bak is trying to control Vassell's posture but Vassell avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vassell fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Bak is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Vassell looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bak! Vassell throws some wild stikes that Bak manages to avoid easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bak really wants to buck Vassell off and get back to his feet. Vassell throwing strikes here but Bak is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Bak takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Bak holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Vassell tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Vassell landing punches. Vassell with shots to the head and body - Bak looks very uncomfortable down there. Vassell lands a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bak is squirming around, avoiding Vassell's attempts to control the action. Bak is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Vassell punching from mount but Bak doing a good job of avoiding damage. Bak is bucking up trying to escape but Vassell cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Vassell punishing his opponent with strikes. Vassell raining down shots from the mount!
Ang Bak's cut is getting worse.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vassell is stalling here but it's allowed Bak to get half guard.
Bak wants to get back to his feet. Still in half guard, Vassell seems content to control. Vassell seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bak does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vassell slips a nice elbow through Bak's hands, connecting with Bak's forehead. Bak wants to improve his position but Vassell is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyler Vassell dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ang Bak's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bak moves away from the strike by Vassell. Vassell fails to land with a series of punches.
A head kick from Bak lands but Vassell takes it in his stride. Bak pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vassell takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Vassell bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. An elbow from Vassell crashes against the mat.
Bak parries the strikes from Vassell easily there. Vassell is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bak to escape.
Vassell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Vassell scoring with punches and elbows. Bak is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Vassell working the head and body with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vassell throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Vassell working away. Vassell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bak keeps working. Bak taking punishment in the form of punches.
Vassell goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bak has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Vassell but great work by Bak. Bak tries to get to his feet but Vassell is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Bak in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Vassell has his hands on Bak's head, controlling the position. Vassell looking for a sweep. Not yet Vassell, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bak wants to stand but Vassell has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Vassell wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Vassell's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Bak has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Bak won't allow Vassell to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyler Vassell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ang Bak's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Bak tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A solid body kick from Bak. Good leg kick by Bak there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bak lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Vassell looks to land a right hand but Bak moved out of range. Bak throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Tyler Vassell has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Bak lunges at Vassell with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Vassell's hand. Bak lets loose with a powerful body kick. Vassell will feel that in the morning. A head kick from Bak lands but Vassell takes it in his stride. Bak lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Bak lands a big head kick that sends Vassell tumbling to the mat! Bak takes a step backwards and waves Vassell back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Vassell is rocked! Bak throws a quick head kick that knocks Vassell silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Bak is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ang Bak!
