Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jim Shockey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and All Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jim Shockey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, All Day! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shockey fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Day misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shockey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Day sprawls well initially but Shockey persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Day wants to control but Shockey passes into side.
Day is trying to control Shockey's posture but Shockey avoids it. Day sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Day tries to roll over but Shockey keeps him under control. Shockey wants to stand up but Day has a hold of him and won't allow it. Day looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Shockey decides to stand up. A slapping leg kick lands for Shockey.
Shockey scores a takedown into full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Shockey looking to control but Day is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Day is working to get back to half guard.
Shockey throws some wild stikes that Day manages to avoid easily.
Day avoids a series of strikes thrown by Shockey.
Shockey misses with a head shot. Shockey landing strikes from the mount and Day is in trouble! Day is trying desperately to improve position. Day looks gassed! Day wants to control but Shockey is having none of it. Shockey thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Shockey throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Shockey lands a nice shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Day blocking the ground and pound. Day manages to regain half guard. Good work. Day is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shockey's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shockey's back! Shockey holding both Day 's hands and preventing any damage. Shockey tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Shockey tries to hold on but Day pushes him away. Day lands with some strikes. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Shockey is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Day has control of Shockey's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Shockey regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shockey is trying to escape the mount.
Day misses with a head shot. Shockey is trying to stand. Shockey might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Day wants to control the pace but Shockey is squirming around nicely. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Shockey tries to hold on but Day postures up. Shockey is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Day is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Shockey has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Day wants to stand but Shockey is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Shockey tries to hold on but Day pushes him away. Shockey trying desperately to get to his feet.
Shockey is trying desperately to improve position. Shockey tries to control Day's body but Day pushes him off. Shockey squirms to his side and now Day has his back! Day is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Shockey is tapping out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). All Day!
