Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Armando Chimal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chimal kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is BATTLE FIELD by Tohru Nakabayashi for the Superclassic game GOLDEN AXE!!!. Lucas is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Serial Killer. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Armando Chimal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Henry Lucas! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lucas lands a body shot.
Lucas takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Lucas is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Lucas looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lucas throws a big shot that misses. A slow jab from Lucas misses its intended target. Lucas scores with a nice head shot. Lucas throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Lucas lands with a right hand. Lucas is looking to clinch but Chimal is avoiding it.
Lucas tries to clinch up but Chimal circles away and keeps his distance. Jab, jab by Lucas - just one landing. Lucas swings for the body but Chimal moves out of range.
Henry Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chimal ducks under a wild hook from Lucas. Lucas is looking to clinch. Lucas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
An inside leg kick lands from Lucas. Lucas wants to clinch. Lucas wants to clinch. Lucas blocks a leg kick. Lucas moves in looking to clinch but Chimal pushes him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lucas's corner calls for a 1-2. Lucas obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Lucas slaps away a takedown attempt from Chimal, before circling back to the center of the mat. Chimal swats away the attempt to clinch by Lucas. Lucas loads up on a big right hand but Chimal slips the punch. Lucas tries to clinch but Chimal moves out of range. Chimal misses with a head kick.
The crowd cheers as Lucas lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chimal doesn't seem phased though. Lucas is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lucas throws a leg kick and Chimal decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lucas's guard. Chimal lands a couple of elbows. Lucas utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lucas keeping full guard, as Chimal tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chimal has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lucas wants to sweep here but Chimal controlling him for the moment. Chimal slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Lucas prevents Chimal from improving position. Lucas dodges the ground and pound from Chimal.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lucas scores with the left hand. Chimal knows he should have avoided that one. Chimal is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lucas is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Chimal had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lucas loads up on a big right hand but Chimal slips the punch. Lucas darts in trying to clinch and Chimal counters with a head kick. That will keep Lucas thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! A left lands for Lucas. Lucas uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Lucas tries to land a leg kick but Chimal saw it coming and moves away.
Chimal has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lucas finds it's way round the side to connect with Chimal's head. Lucas leaves Chimal with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lucas tries to clinch but fails miserably and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lucas scores with a push kick. Lucas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Chimal.

Henry Lucas dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Lucas misses with an uppercut. Chimal saw that one coming. Lucas tries to clinch but Chimal moves away and Chimal counters with a head kick. That will keep Lucas thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Lucas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chimal doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Lucas moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Lucas lands with a nice combination. Chimal backs away looking to recover. Lucas tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Chimal counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lucas's knee momentarily. A low kick from Lucas misses and Chimal decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lucas's guard. Chimal looking to pass the guard. Lucas avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lucas wants to sweep but no luck. Lucas can't keep his opponent in guard - Chimal advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Chimal not landing any meaningful shots this time. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chimal connects with a nice short shot to Lucas's temple. Chimal thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lucas's head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lucas can do anything to dispel that myth. Chimal thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Chimal is pressing down on Lucas's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lucas is holding on for now. Chimal throws a strike but Lucas avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Lucas can't keep his opponent in guard - Chimal advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Chimal moves nicely into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chimal in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Chimal tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Chimal has knee on belly momentarily but Lucas bucks him off and regains half guard. Chimal wants to free his trapped foot but Lucas is holding on for dear life with his legs. Lucas on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Chimal works his way into full mount! Lucas tries to reverse the position but Chimal maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lucas wants to hold on but Chimal pushes him away. Lucas is working to get back to half guard.
Chimal landing shots from mount. Lucas wants to control but Chimal is having none of it. Lucas trying desperately to get to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Chimal landing strikes, looking to finish! Chimal lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Chimal misses with some ground and pound and Lucas recovers position to half guard. Chimal thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lucas's head. Armando Chimal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lucas is looking to improve his position.

Armando Chimal dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Lucas lands a nice shot that snaps Chimal's head back.
Lucas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chimal paws at him with a jab and circles away. Lucas throws a lazy body kick and Chimal counters with a right hand to the body. Lucas closes the distance but Chimal moves to the side and Chimal counters with a left to the body. Lucas punishes Chimal's body with a nice straight punch. Chimal takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Chimal ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lucas moves away. Lucas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chimal circles away quickly and effectively. Chimal throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lucas's waist but Lucas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chimal off to one side. Lucas lands a body shot.

Henry Lucas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chimal gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Lucas. Lucas connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Henry Lucas seems to be getting the better of the standup. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chimal is defended easily by Lucas. Lucas with a jab. Lucas moves into range and connects with a jab. A low kick from Lucas is predictable there and Chimal counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Chimal slips under a jab from Lucas. Lucas throws a half hearted mid kick. Lucas throws a sloppy body shot
enabling Chimal to counter with a crisp jab. Lucas just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A chopping leg kick lands by Lucas. Lucas throws a shot from downtown. Chimal moves away and avoids it. Lucas digs a good hook to Chimal's body.
Lucas digs a good body shot into Chimal's ribs. Chimal throws a body punch but Lucas moves out of range. Chimal tries for a takedown but Lucas sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Armando Chimal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lucas wants to clinch but Chimal slips to the side and Chimal counters with a leg kick. Lucas misses with a looping right. Nice shot by Lucas. Chimal takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Chimal circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lucas stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lucas attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Chimal shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lucas defends it nicely. Lucas checks the leg kick nicely there.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lucas. Chimal does a little dance to reset his feet. Chimal slips under a jab. Lucas scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lucas lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Lucas connects with a body shot. Lucas lands with an uppercut that bounces Chimal off the cage and back into rage. Jab, jab by Lucas - just one landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lucas tries a low kick but Chimal avoids it. Lucas connects with a nice looking jab.
Lucas throws a nice looking combination but Chimal bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lucas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Chimal. Lucas misses with a hook to the body
and Chimal counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Lucas tries to clinch enabling Chimal to counter with a crisp jab. A decent looking cross lands there for Lucas.
