Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Baby Firefly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Slick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slick is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rancid-Ruby Soho. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Baby Firefly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Slick!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slick tries to keep at a distance but Firefly has taken the fight into the clinch.
Slick jumps guard but Firefly stands there with Slick around his waist. Slick gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Slick goes for a takedown in the clinch but Firefly prevents it.
Firefly pulls Slick into guard.
Slick looking to pass the guard.
Slick distracts Firefly with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Slick prevents Firefly from getting back to his feet.
Slick throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Firefly is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Slick is looking to work some ground and pound but Firefly has wrist control.
Slick looking to pass the guard.
Firefly pulls Slick in close to his closed guard and prevents Slick from doing any damage or advancing position.
Firefly throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Slick postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Firefly is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Slick, into his guard.
Firefly has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Slick keeping busy on the bottom but Firefly has passed one foot through into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Firefly decides to stand and escape the position.
Firefly rushes Slick and presses him up against the cage.
Firefly lands a hook to the side of the head.
Firefly breaks the clinch.
Firefly fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Firefly throws a series of punches but Slick avoids them all with ease.
Firefly closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Slick looks gassed!
Firefly throws a combination. Slick tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Firefly throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Slick stumbling backwards into the cage! Slick bounces back off the cage towards Firefly, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Firefly lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Firefly celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Baby Firefly!
