Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Dux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Leister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Dux has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Dux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brock Leister!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Dux lands.
Leister shoots in for a takedown but Dux shows good takedown defense.
Dux is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dux tries to clinch but Leister moves out of range.

Dux rushes Leister and presses him up against the cage.
Dux tries to pull guard but Leister holds him up against the cage and eventually Dux drops back down to his feet.

Leister is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dux can't fight it off and eventually Leister manages to take the fight to the floor. Dux looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dux escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Leister gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Leister avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Leister won't allow Dux to sweep him here.
Leister must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Leister wants to control from the top but Dux keeps moving.

Dux working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leister doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Leister manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dux is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Leister wants to get back to his feet but Dux drags him back down.
Leister is not content to let Dux control the position.

Leister regains half guard there - taking advantage of Dux's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Leister is refusing to be controlled, as Dux sits in half guard.
Dux passes the guard and advances to mount!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Leister can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dux looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Leister is looking to improve his position but Dux isn't that keen on the idea.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Dux will probably get the nod.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dux can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Leister is looking to escape.
Leister is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Dux will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Leister is looking to improve his position but Dux isn't that keen on the idea.
Leister is squirming around, avoiding Dux's attempts to control the action.

Brock Leister showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Dux postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Leister is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dux, into his guard.
Dux is trying to keep Leister in close.

Leister thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Leister is pushing down on Dux's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dux is fighting to maintain full guard but Leister has managed to sneak the leg through.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Leister has eaten all the pies!
Leister content to control rather than advance.

Dux wants to get back to full guard.
Dux manages to get to full guard.
Dux controls Leister momentarily but Leister frees himself.
Leister trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dux's guard.

Dux is looking for a triangle but Leister pushes his legs off easily.
Dux manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Leister manages to get himself to full guard.

Leister manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Leister is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Dux is in real trouble.
Leister has the hooks in. Dux is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Dux staying busy and making it hard for Leister to control.
Dux can't escape the position.
Dux manages to reverse the position and now he's in Leister's guard. Nice work there by Dux.
Dux stands and throws Leister's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Leister is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Dux has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Dux is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Leister knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Leister is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dux asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Leister tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dux wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dux wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Leister, who protects the arm well.
