The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortega misses with a series of wild punches.
Ortega looks to land a combination but Fujii avoids it well.
Fujii clinches up against the cage.
Ortega tries to pull guard but Fujii holds him up against the cage and eventually Ortega drops back down to his feet.
Ortega wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Fujii has him pressed against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Ortega.
Ortega has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Fujii tries to pull guard but Ortega won't allow it.

Fujii is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Ortega really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fujii. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Fujii shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ortega manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Jaime Ortega seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Ortega, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fujii postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ortega is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fujii, into his guard.

Fujii has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ortega has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Fujii celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
