Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Mullen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Petkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mullen comes to the cage accompanied by Let's Do the Time Warp Again. Brendan Mullen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brendan Mullen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Petkov! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mullen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Petkov wants to improve his position but Mullen is controlling well.
Petkov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Petkov trying to control from the bottom.
Petkov is trying to control but Mullen manages to pass to mount!
Petkov can't escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petkov holds on for dear life, controlling Mullen's posture momentarily. Mullen content just to control the position here. Petkov tries to hold on but Mullen postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mullen wants to stand but Petkov is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Petkov tries to get back to half guard but can't. Petkov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Petkov wants to hold on but Mullen pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petkov slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Petkov looking for submissions off his back. Petkov is holding on to half guard well. Mullen prevents Petkov from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Petkov trying to control here.
Mullen decides to return to a standing position. Mullen shoots in and bounces Petkov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Petkov looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mullen puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brendan Mullen dominated that round. That's time! Mullen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
No joy there for Petkov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Petkov gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Petkov trying to control the position.
Petkov looking for a guillotine here but Mullen defends easily.
Petkov wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petkov throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Petkov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mullen is aware though and is defending well. Petkov looking to control.
Mullen gets to his feet. Petkov looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Petkov leaves Mullen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Petkov cracks Mullen with a right hand to the side of the head. Mullen feints and as Petkov raises his hands in defense, Mullen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mullen stands up from guard. Let's bang! Petkov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mullen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. You can see the frustration on Petkov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mullen wants to stand but Petkov has his arm trapped. Petkov can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petkov tries to get back to half guard but can't. Petkov trying to control but Mullen flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Petkov wants to control his opponent's hands but Mullen gets his hands free. Petkov tries to escape the position.
Petkov breaks Mullen's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Petkov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mullen is keeping the position for now.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Mullen avoids the body shot from Petkov.
Mullen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mullen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Petkov! Petkov is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brendan Mullen dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Mullen drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mullen gets to his feet - Petkov follows without any prompting. Jab by Petkov. Petkov misses with a double jab.
Mullen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Good shot there by Petkov. Petkov shoots in and bounces Mullen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Petkov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Petkov trying to control the position from guard on top but Mullen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Petkov won't allow Mullen to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petkov wants to control from the top but Mullen keeps moving. Petkov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Brendan Mullen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Petkov trying to control the position from guard on top but Mullen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Petkov drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Petkov as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Mullen screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Petkov! Nice submission victory there!
