Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lorenzo Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Star gets a takedown into half guard.
Garcia avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Star.
Star tries to pass the half guard into mount. Garcia knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Star is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Garcia!
Star throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Star takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Star looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Star throws a half hearted mid kick.

Star scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Garcia tries to escape but Star is in control.
Star tries to move into full mount but can't pass Garcia's legs.
Star is breathing heavily.
Star working away.
Star advances to mount.
Garcia is working to get back to half guard.

Star working for a guillotine from mount but Garcia is in no mood to give up.
Garcia wants to control but Star is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Garcia can't escape the position.
Star thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Garcia tries to lock up and control but Star gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Star throws some wild stikes that Garcia manages to avoid easily.
Garcia sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Garcia is trying to stand.
Garcia is trying to get back to full guard.
Garcia is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Garcia is looking to escape.
Garcia is looking to control Star's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Garcia avoid being mounted?

Star is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Garcia is looking to improve his position.
Star has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Garcia shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Garcia was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Star is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Star is working hard here to advance position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Star tries to improve his position but instead Garcia has taken his back!
Garcia is working the ground and pound. Can Star escape?


It looks like Scott Star has been cut.
Star wants to get back to his feet.

Garcia has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Garcia lands punches and elbows.
Garcia trying to control momentarily.
Garcia avoiding Star 's attempts to control his hands.
Star tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lorenzo Garcia dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Scott Star's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Star feints and as Garcia raises his hands in defense, Star changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Star drops back looking for a leg! Garcia is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Garcia manages to kick Star off! Star jumps back into Garcia's guard.
Star lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Star looking to sit in guard and control but Garcia gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Star looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Garcia puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Garcia tries to stand and escape but Star is controlling the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Star is trying to maintain the position but Garcia is very close to passing his half guard.
Star slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Star throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Garcia would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Star is looking to sinch up a triangle. Garcia throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Star's body to avoid the submission. Star has instead reached around Garcia's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Star arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Scott Star!
