Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Senen Reyes II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sir Deric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sir Deric is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Senen Reyes II! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sir Deric! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes II throws a nice inside leg kick. Sir Deric seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Deric misses with an uppercut. Reyes II saw that one coming. Deric chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Reyes II can pounce on him.
Reyes II lands with a slapping head kick. Reyes II lands a left and a right that send Deric crashing to the mat, dazed. Reyes II thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Deric is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Deric throws a leg kick that is checked and Reyes II counters with a crisp right hand that drops Deric! Reyes II lets Deric back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Reyes II as Deric shoots in. No joy there for Reyes II, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Deric shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Reyes II defends it nicely. Deric gets cracked there but stands up to it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Deric fails with a takedown attempt. Senen Reyes II has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sir Deric. Reyes II takes a swing at Deric's ribcage but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyes II misses the shot to the body. A kick lands to the mid section there for Reyes II. Deric misses with a leg kick and Reyes II counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Deric is lucky that one didn't land flush.
It looks like Sir Deric has been cut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Horrible takedown by Deric or perhaps it was just good defense by Reyes II which made him look bad. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Deric stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Reyes II. Deric looks gassed! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reyes II lands the left hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Senen Reyes II dominated that round. The cut man is working on Sir Deric's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
A chopping leg kick lands by Reyes II. Good standup being displayed there by Reyes II as he connects with a hook. Reyes II lands with a kick to the temple. Deric shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Reyes II lands a big right hand that sends Deric crashing to the mat! Reyes II stays standing though and waves Deric back to his feet! Deric is still on wobbly legs! Can Reyes II finish him? Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reyes II lands with a nice body punch. Deric seems to have recovered his senses. Deric is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reyes II throws a sloppy head kick and Deric moves out of range easily. Reyes II thumps Deric with a low kick. Reyes II will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Deric walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. No luck for Deric with that takedown attempt. An inside leg kick lands from Reyes II.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Reyes II.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Deric works over Reyes II with some ground and pound from guard. Deric tries to free his leg and advance position but Reyes II is retaining full guard. Reyes II is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Reyes II keeping moving, preventing Deric from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reyes II is looking for a triangle but Deric pushes his legs off easily.
Deric is working Reyes II over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Reyes II is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Deric defends well. Deric stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reyes II swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Senen Reyes II dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Sir Deric's cut. That's time! Reyes II's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Reyes II uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Deric.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Deric shoots for a takedown but Reyes II saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Deric closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Reyes II did well to prevent Deric getting side control. Senen Reyes II is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reyes II wants to control but Deric is keeping busy and won't allow it. Deric is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Reyes II is just riding it out for now. Deric eventually gives up the hold. Deric is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Reyes II trying to control here.
Reyes II is defending against the submission attempts here by Deric.
Deric takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Reyes II is trying to control but can't.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A left and a right from Reyes II both land. Nice combination. Sir Deric has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Reyes II lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Deric fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Reyes II misses with a body kick. Deric thows a leg kick but Reyes II checks it and Reyes II counters with a head kick. That will keep Deric thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Reyes II connects with a high kick. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Reyes II lands with a cross.
And that's the end of the fight! Senen Reyes II showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Reyes II, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
