Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Francis Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Karl Belin!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belin wants to clinch up but Drake keeps it at a distance.
Drake looks for a takedown but Belin sprawls well.
Drake fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Drake tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Belin counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Drake tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Belin just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Francis Drake. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Drake tries to pull guard but Belin won't allow it.
Belin lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Come on Belin - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Belin continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.

The crowd are getting on Belin's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Drake tries to pull guard but Belin holds him up against the cage and eventually Drake drops back down to his feet.
The referee calls for Belin to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Karl Belin.

Belin moves into the clinch successfully.
Belin manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Belin receives a warning from the referee for stalling.

Drake is working for takedown but Belin is calmly controlling the position for now.
Belin content to slow the pace in the clinch.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Karl Belin.
Drake tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Drake gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Belin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Drake fails to pull guard.
Belin has Drake pushed against the cage.
Belin presses Drake against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Belin working Drake over with knees to the body.
Drake tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Drake tries to score a body lock takedown but Belin shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Belin displaying some good clinch control by pressing Drake up against the cage.
Drake fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Belin has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Drake regains guard immediately.
Belin postures up.
Belin wants to control from the top but Drake keeps moving.

Drake looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Drake preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Belin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Drake escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Belin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Drake is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Drake is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Drake is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Belin is aware though and is defending well.

Belin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Drake can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Belin controls the pace.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.
Belin thows a big elbow that misses.
Belin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Drake is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Belin is aware though and is defending well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Drake can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Belin controls the pace.
Belin scoring with some ground and pound.
Belin trying to control but Drake is working from the bottom.

Belin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Belin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Belin passes Drake's left leg - he's now in half guard.

That's eight minutes gone in the round.
Drake is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Drake is working hard here to advance position.
Belin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Drake works his way to full guard. Good work.

Drake is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Belin defends well.

Drake throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Drake working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Belin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Belin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Drake is breathing heavily.
Belin passes Drake's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

That's nine minutes gone in the round.
Belin controlling the pace.
Belin wants to free his trapped foot but Drake is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Belin moves into full mount! Drake won't be happy about that!

Belin looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Drake is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Belin unloads with some shots from mount but Drake bucks and avoids them well.
Drake is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Belin is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Drake can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

And that's the end of the fight!
Karl Belin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Belin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
