Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between BILL GARCIA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). BILL GARCIA could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Steve Lucas's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, BILL GARCIA! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Lucas! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! GARCIA darts in and clinches Lucas up against the cage. Lucas looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! GARCIA has Lucas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lucas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. GARCIA wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lucas is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Lucas tries to pull guard but GARCIA holds him up against the cage and eventually Lucas drops back down to his feet.
GARCIA pulls Lucas into guard.
Lucas won't allow GARCIA to sweep him here. GARCIA throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
GARCIA is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lucas defends well. GARCIA controlling Lucas's posture. GARCIA trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's one minute gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as GARCIA holds on and takes a little breather. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. GARCIA looking to control.
GARCIA kicks Lucas off and gets to his feet. GARCIA takes the fight into the clinch. GARCIA looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. GARCIA is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lucas pulls him back up using the underhooks. Lucas tries to break the clinch but GARCIA is controlling the position. GARCIA avoiding damage.
GARCIA has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lucas is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for BILL GARCIA. That's going to take a lot out of him. GARCIA digs a right hand into Lucas's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Lucas's gas tank. GARCIA has Lucas pressed against the cage, preventing Lucas from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lucas tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
GARCIA scores a nice knee to the body.
GARCIA comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. GARCIA has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lucas avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. GARCIA is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. GARCIA ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. GARCIA no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. GARCIA wants to sweep but no luck. GARCIA controls Lucas momentarily but Lucas frees himself. Lucas got a little sloppy there for a moment and GARCIA has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lucas has managed to get both his arms back between GARCIA's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lucas looking to sit in guard and control but GARCIA gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. GARCIA might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lucas controls GARCIA momentarily but GARCIA frees himself. GARCIA trying to control but Lucas is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. GARCIA darts in and clinches Lucas up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. GARCIA drags the fight down to the ground.
GARCIA has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lucas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lucas trying to control the position from guard on top but GARCIA is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lucas must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lucas is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. GARCIA avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
BILL GARCIA dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
GARCIA bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Lucas is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but GARCIA has just dragged him back down to the mat. GARCIA trying to control the action but Lucas is working from the bottom. GARCIA lands a nice forearm strike. GARCIA wants to control but Lucas is keeping him busy. GARCIA controlling from side mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lucas is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Lucas is letting GARCIA control him for a moment. Lucas looking for a sweep but GARCIA has passed into full mount! Oh no! GARCIA with a couple of short strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. GARCIA tries to control but Lucas wriggling away. GARCIA lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
GARCIA has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lucas's face.
GARCIA with good strikes from the mount here! Lucas is desperately trying to improve his position but GARCIA has a good base and remains in mount. GARCIA working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. GARCIA sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. GARCIA has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. GARCIA breaks from Lucas's wrist control and lands an elbow. Lucas working to try and regain half guard.
GARCIA trying to control but he's not successful this time. Lucas tries to improve his position but instead GARCIA has taken his back! Lucas staying busy and making it hard for GARCIA to control. Can Lucas hold on?! GARCIA is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. GARCIA has managed to slip his arm under Lucas's chin. This could be all over... yep, Lucas is tapping out! Submission win for GARCIA.
