Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Larson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Larson's choice of entrance music: Manboy by Erik Saede. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ian Larson enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Coleman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ian Larson! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman misses with a hook. Larson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Larson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coleman tries to avoid it but Larson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coleman to the ground. Coleman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Coleman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Larson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Larson is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Coleman lands a decent elbow from side control. Coleman scoring with punches and elbows. Coleman cracks Larson with a big elbow. Larson seems a little lost for a moment, as Coleman dominates the positioning. Larson parries the strikes from Coleman easily there. Coleman is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Larson to escape.
Coleman is trying to get an arm triangle but Larson is defending well. Coleman thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Larson is looking to reverse the position. Larson defending against the ground and pound. Coleman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Coleman is working Larson over with some ground and pound from side control. Coleman is breathing heavily. An elbow from Coleman crashes against the mat.
Coleman throwing shots but missing, from side control. Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Larson pushes Coleman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Coleman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Coleman misses with the ground and pound. Coleman sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Larson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Larson is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Larson is looking to regain half guard here but Coleman keeps moving and retains side control. Coleman in side control lands a decent elbow. Larson defending against the ground and pound.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Larson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Larson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Coleman blocking the ground and pound attempt from Larson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Larson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Coleman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Larson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Larson is nestled in close to Coleman, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Coleman keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Larson thows a huge punch but Coleman dodges it nicely.

Larson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Coleman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Coleman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Coleman tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Larson prevents Coleman from improving his position. Larson wants to free his trapped foot but Coleman is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Larson is defended easily by Coleman. Mark Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ian Larson. Larson with a lazy takedown attempt and Coleman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Larson's guard. Coleman won't allow Larson to get back to his feet. Larson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Coleman throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Larson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Larson has Coleman pulled in close to control his posture. Larson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Larson doesn't succeed with the takedown and Coleman counters with a shoot takedown. Larson fights it but they end up in guard. Coleman controlling from the top position. Coleman trying to control the position from guard on top but Larson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Coleman throwing strikes from guard but Larson blocks nicely. Larson has his takedown stuffed and Coleman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Larson's guard. Coleman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Coleman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Larson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Coleman trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Coleman stops Larson from standing up. Coleman scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Larson keeping moving, preventing Coleman from controlling successfully. Coleman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Coleman postures up in Larson's guard and throws a big left but Larson blocks it.

Mark Coleman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Larson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Larson shoots in for a double leg but Coleman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mark Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ian Larson. Larson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Larson wants to try and get back to his feet. Larson tries to hold on but Coleman postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Coleman wants to clinch but Larson slips to the side and Larson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Larson throws a one two combo.
It looks like Mark Coleman has been cut. Larson fails with the takedown. A slow jab from Coleman misses its intended target. Coleman stuffs the takedown attempt from Larson. Larson gets slowly back to his feet. Larson ducks under a wild hook from Coleman. Coleman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Larson pinned against the cage. Larson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Larson throws a one two combo.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Larson shoots in looking for a takedown. Coleman tries to sprawl out of it but Larson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Larson is looking to stand up but Coleman isn't so interested in that idea.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Larson dives in and grabs Coleman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Coleman pushes down on Larson's head and hops out. Coleman wants to clinch. Mark Coleman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coleman leaves Larson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Larson scores with a sloppy right hand. Coleman should have avoided that one. Coleman looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Coleman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Larson's head. Larson avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Coleman.

Larson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Coleman is working away from the top position though. Larson is trying to stand back up but Coleman is controlling him

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Larson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Larson looking to sit in guard and control but Coleman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coleman stands up over Larson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Ian Larson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Coleman is looking to work some ground and pound but Larson has wrist control. Larson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Coleman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Coleman is fighting to break Larson's control of his arms but Larson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Larson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coleman is one step ahead there. Coleman postures up in Larson's guard and throws a big left but Larson blocks it. Larson lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Ian Larson. I think Coleman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
