Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foster comes to the cage accompanied by Friggin In The Riggin. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Romero! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foster shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Romero sprawls well. Romero wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Foster gets slowly back to his feet. A combination from Romero does no damage. Foster shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Romero is trying to defend but Foster finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Foster is stalling here. Romero is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Foster seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Romero has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Foster holds on to Romero's head and controls the position momentarily. Foster regains half guard. Foster is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romero seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Romero really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Foster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Foster trying to control from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Foster shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Romero napping and manages to drive through into side control! Romero is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Foster has just dragged him back down to the mat. Sloppy strikes there by Foster.

Foster works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Romero wants to get back to his feet but Foster drags him back down. Foster connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Romero some visible discomfort.
Foster has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Romero tries to escape but Foster is in control. Foster working the ground and pound but Romero is defending the strikes. Romero is trying to stand back up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Romero can do anything to dispel that myth. Romero looks gassed! Foster throws a strike aimed at the side of Romero's head but Romero avoids it well. Foster misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Foster fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Foster with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Romero to score with a decent uppercut. Foster looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Foster was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Foster closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Foster lands in his opponent's guard. Foster trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Foster accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Foster with a flurry of punches that miss. Foster controls from within his opponent's guard. Romero working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Foster.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Romero wants it to stay on the feet. Romero misses with the combination.
Foster avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Romero keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Romero lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Foster circles away quickly and effectively. Foster steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Romero.

Romero scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. George Romero is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Foster feints and as Romero raises his hands in defense, Foster changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Foster wants to control from the top but Romero keeps moving. Foster missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Foster showed some decent athleticism there. Foster throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Foster with the ground and pound but Romero uses the opportunity to regain guard. And that's the end of the fight! Jeremy Foster showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Foster, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
