Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Cottingham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cottingham displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Aldo throws out the jab.
Cottingham avoids a punch combination nicely.
Aldo throws the left hand but Cottingham avoids the punch easily.

Cottingham darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Cottingham is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aldo is just riding it out for now. Cottingham eventually gives up the hold.
Cottingham should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Aldo pushes Cottingham off looking to stand but Cottingham dives back in and keeps control.

Cottingham is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Aldo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cottingham.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cottingham is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Aldo is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
