Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny O Brien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Timm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Brien comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny i hardly knew ya. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny O Brien!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jared Timm!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timm looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
O Brien is trying to keep Timm in close.
O Brien is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
O Brien keeping moving, preventing Timm from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Timm throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as O Brien works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
O Brien is looking to stand up but Timm isn't so interested in that idea.
Timm trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Timm working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Timm trying to control the position from guard on top but O Brien is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Timm throws a chopping leg kick but O Brien manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Timm drives through with a takedown into guard.
O Brien keeping moving, preventing Timm from controlling successfully.
Timm seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
O Brien controls Timm momentarily but Timm frees himself.
O Brien had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Timm defends it easily.
Timm looking to sit in guard and control but O Brien gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Timm is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
O Brien postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
O Brien trying to control the position from guard on top but Timm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Timm is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
O Brien working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Timm's head.
Timm wants to sweep here but O Brien controlling him for the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as O Brien accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Timm is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Timm throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Timm looks gassed!
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
O Brien lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Timm tries to clinch but O Brien is having none of it.
O Brien with a poor takedown
so Timm counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
O Brien pulls Timm in close to his closed guard and prevents Timm from doing any damage or advancing position.
O Brien is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
O Brien pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
O Brien closes this distance looking for a takedown but Timm circles away.
O Brien throws a sloppy head kick and Timm moves out of range easily.
Timm closes the distance and clinches.
O Brien is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Timm is defending well for now.
Timm fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Timm landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Timm tries to circle away but O Brien has him pinned against the cage.
O Brien has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Timm uses from the top position.

Timm prevents O Brien from getting back to his feet.
O Brien is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Timm defends well.
O Brien trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jared Timm dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
O Brien tries to clinch but Timm moves away
and Timm counters with a stiff right hand.
Timm fails with the takedown.
O Brien has Timm up against the cage in a clinch.
Timm has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. O Brien is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
O Brien has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Timm clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Timm rolls, trying to escape but O Brien keeps control of the position.
O Brien slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Timm can't escape the position.
O Brien looking for the choke from the back.
Timm is in bad spot here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
O Brien is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Timm has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Timm just trying to survive but O Brien is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Timm has hold of O Brien's leg, trying to break free but it's let O Brien lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Timm is turning an unusual color here… he's out! O Brien throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
