Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Orton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alan Shilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orton comes to the cage accompanied by Voices. Shilt has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Alan Shilt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Orton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alan Shilt! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shilt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Orton swats him away and circles back towards the center. Alan Shilt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shilt tries a head kick but it misses.
Orton drives through with a takedown into guard. Shilt looks gassed! Orton stands and steps away. Shilt gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Orton pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shilt swinging wildly here.
Orton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shilt, pushing him back against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Orton takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Orton lands a takedown into guard.
Orton is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Shilt controls Orton momentarily but Orton frees himself. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Orton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shilt is working an open guard so Orton takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Orton drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Orton is trying to get an arm triangle but Shilt is defending well. Orton tries for a kimura but Shilt is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Orton decides to stand up, so the ref orders Shilt to his feet. Orton looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Shilt is trying to control but can't.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Orton is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Shilt to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shilt keeping full guard, as Orton tries to pass. Orton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Orton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shilt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Orton is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Orton sitting in guard here, content to control. Orton decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shilt, up you get! Shilt darts in trying to clinch and Orton counters with a takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Orton dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
A left lands for Shilt. Orton gets in close and instigates a clinch. Orton manages to break the clinch.
Orton gets a takedown into half guard. Shilt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Still in half guard, Orton seems content to control. Orton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shilt tries to kick Orton off in order to stand up. Orton Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shilt is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Orton tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Orton takes a little break here. Shilt wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Orton is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shilt has escaped the position, nice work there. Orton decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Shilt misses with a takedown and Orton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Shilt is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Orton controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Shilt keeping moving, preventing Orton from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randy Orton dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Orton instigates a clinch. Orton on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Orton is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Shilt can't fight it off and eventually Orton manages to take the fight to the floor. Shilt looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Orton controls from within his opponent's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Orton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shilt swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Orton sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Randy Orton just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Orton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shilt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Shilt is looking to stand up but Orton isn't so interested in that idea. Shilt can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Orton controls the pace. Orton decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shilt, up you get!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shilt misses with a head kick.
Orton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shilt to the mat! Shilt manages to get full guard. Orton stands up from Shilt's guard - Orton perhaps looking for a knockout. Shilt bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Orton's head backwards. Shilt throws a head kick that half lands.
Shilt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Orton has Shilt up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Orton gets control of Shilt's arms and successfully pulls guard. Orton will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Orton has a closed guard, preventing Shilt from standing up. Randy Orton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Orton keeping moving, preventing Shilt from controlling successfully. Shilt wanted to stand there but Orton had control of the position. Shilt trying to control the position from guard on top but Orton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Randy Orton showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Orton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
