Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clive Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miguel Salazar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clive Simmons! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simmons catches Salazar with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Salazar is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Simmons's half guard. Simmons trying to hold on to Salazar's head to control him but Salazar postures up.
Salazar prevents Simmons from improving his position. Salazar wants to control but Simmons is keeping him busy. Simmons gets full guard. Simmons working a defensive guard here.
Salazar trying to control the position from guard on top but Simmons is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Salazar won't allow Simmons to sweep him here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Salazar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Simmons lands with a good body shot. Salazar moves into the clinch successfully.
A head punch on the inside from Simmons fails to land. Salazar has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Simmons is trying to keep an underhook but Salazar manages to get the takedown into half guard. Simmons is trying to control but can't.
Simmons is looking for a sweep. Salazar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Simmons is not content to let Salazar control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Simmons wants to control but Salazar is keeping busy and won't allow it. Simmons is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Simmons moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Simmons has Salazar pulled in close to control his posture. Salazar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Simmons is keeping the position for now. Simmons wants to stand and escape but Salazar is having none of it. Salazar trying to control but Simmons is working from the bottom. Salazar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Salazar wants to control from the top but Simmons keeps moving. Salazar won't allow Simmons to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Simmons is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Simmons wants to take a breather but Salazar is having none of it. Salazar is looking for a sweep. Simmons is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Simmons is working for a submission of some sort.
Salazar is staying active underneath Simmons, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Salazar wants to control but Simmons is keeping busy and won't allow it. Simmons wants to pass the guard but Salazar is defending well.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Simmons throws a looping overhand right but Salazar ducks down to avoid it. Simmons misses with a straight right. Simmons waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Salazar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Simmons throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Salazar uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Simmons. Simmons lands a glancing blow to the side of Salazar's head. A looping hook to the body misses from Simmons. Salazar does a little dance to reset his feet. Simmons circles away from the clinch attempt.

Salazar takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Salazar closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Salazar tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Simmons is trying to improve his position. Salazar trying to control the position but Simmons is working away. Salazar is really struggling to control Simmons but he's trying to hold on to the position. Simmons is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Simmons can't do much from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salazar tries to advance to mount but can't.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Salazar throws a shot to the body.
Simmons misses with a hook. Salazar ducked under it nicely. Simmons throws a body punch but Salazar moves out of range. Simmons misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Salazar.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Salazar shoots in for a takedown but Simmons shows good takedown defense. Salazar has a takedown stuffed. Simmons digs a good body shot into Salazar's ribs. Salazar is breathing heavily. Salazar is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Simmons. Clive Simmons is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Simmons takes one to the chin there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Salazar doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Simmons getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Salazar gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Salazar shoots in and drives through. Simmons sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Clive Simmons will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Simmons thuds a left hand into Salazar's body. Nice shot by Simmons. Salazar is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Simmons. Simmons scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jab from Simmons. Simmons throws out a powerful jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Salazar walks into a straight right hand from Simmons.
Salazar is rocked! Simmons misses with a straight left. Oh Salazar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A telegraphed right hand from Simmons misses the target. Simmons swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Simmons dances in with a quick combination. Salazar is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Simmons snaps Salazar's head back. Salazar stumbles backwards against the cage. Simmons steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Salazar's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Salazar just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Clive Simmons!
