The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kopylov is looking to slow Nakamura down with leg kicks.
Horrible takedown by Nakamura or perhaps it was just good defense by Kopylov which made him look bad.
Nakamura moves out of range of the body kick.
Kopylov throws a half hearted mid kick.
Nakamura avoids the head kick by Kopylov.

Kopylov motions for Nakamura to come forward. Kopylov throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kopylov is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kopylov is squirming around, avoiding Nakamura's attempts to control the action.

Nakamura punching from mount but Kopylov doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Kopylov tries to reverse the position but Nakamura maintains control.
Nakamura throwing strikes here but Kopylov is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Nakamura is persistently looking for the submission but Kopylov is defending it well.
Kopylov rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mikhail Kopylov dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kopylov throws a head kick but Nakamura moves out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kopylov. That's going to slow Nakamura down.
Nakamura fails with a takedown attempt.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kopylov.

Nakamura drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Nakamura working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kopylov can't do much from the bottom here.

Kopylov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Nakamura is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Nakamura has hold of Kopylov's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kopylov tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Nakamura cranks the arm and Kopylov screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kopylov, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Robbi Nakamura!
