Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between BJJ King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, BJJ King! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Danny Pain! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. King could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. King is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pain knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Pain is looking to regain half guard here but King keeps moving and retains side control. King looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Pain is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked King off and has taken his back! King breaks Pain's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
King drops back looking for a leg! Pain is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pain manages to kick King off! King jumps back into Pain's guard. Pain bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King's guard. King being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pain with a flurry of punches that miss. Pain looking to pass the guard. King looking for a guillotine here but Pain defends easily.

Pain passes King's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pain perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Pain throwing shots but King is blocking nicely. King gets full guard. King preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. King keeping moving, preventing Pain from controlling successfully. Pain wants to pass the guard but King is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. King throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Pain throws a body punch but King moves out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from King. Pain does a little dance to reset his feet. Pain throws out a loose jab but King uses good head movement to avoid it. Pain throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Pain looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Pain forces his way into half guard. King is staying active underneath Pain, who seems content to just control the action from this position. King looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Pain moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from King.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pain avoids the strikes from the bottom by King. King throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Pain controlling the position. King tries to improve position but can't.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. King dives in and grabs Pain's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pain pushes down on King's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for BJJ King. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pain swings and misses with a hook to the body.

King looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Pain swings around for an armbar but King sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Pain's guard. King drops back looking for a leg! Pain is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pain manages to kick King off! King jumps back into Pain's guard. King thows a big elbow that misses. King in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. King loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pain manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
King might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pain tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Pain wants to control the pace but King is squirming around nicely. King holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Pain tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. King swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. King is trying desperately to improve position. King throwing hammer fists to the chest of Pain. What's that going to do exactly? King keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Danny Pain showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pain looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pain! Pain content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. King regains half guard there - taking advantage of Pain's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Pain missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. King looking for submissions off his back. Pain throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Pain is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Pain controlling the position easily from mount. Pain jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but King manages to avoid the submission attempt. King manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Pain thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed King's head. BJJ King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Danny Pain is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. King is letting Pain control him for a moment. King is looking for a sweep. King looks to move to half guard but instead Pain has passed into mount! Damn!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain controlling his opponent. Danny Pain has got the better of the ground game so far. Pain's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. King swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Pain content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. King throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. King throwing hammer fists to the chest of Pain. What's that going to do exactly? Pain tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

And that's the end of the fight! Danny Pain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pain has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
