Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Laslo Merivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gassey Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Merivan might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sayonara. Laslo Merivan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gassey Jack's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Laslo Merivan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gassey Jack! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Merivan throws a nice looking combination but Jack bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Merivan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jack as he jumps to the side. Merivan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Merivan looks to land a combination. Jack sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Merivan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jack manages to avoid it. Jack uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Merivan. Merivan's corner calls for a 1-2. Merivan obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Merivan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jack.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jack takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Jack avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Crunch! Merivan slams his shin into Jack's torso. Merivan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Merivan tries to clinch but Jack is having none of it. Merivan throws a right and a left that both miss. Gassey Jack is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jack takes a shot right to the bread basket. Jack dodges the punch combination from Merivan.
Merivan waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Jack. Merivan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jack swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Laslo Merivan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Merivan throws a nice looking combination but Jack bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Laslo Merivan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Merivan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jack uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Merivan. Merivan cracks Jack with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Merivan looks to land a combination but Jack avoids it well. Merivan lands a really nice looking cross but Jack seems unphased.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Merivan tries a head kick but it misses.
Jack darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Jack drops Merivan with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Merivan! Jack dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (strikes). Gassey Jack!
