Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mush Mouth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorge Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorge Santana is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mush Mouth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jorge Santana!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouth will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mouth on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Mouth fails with the takedown.
Santana doesn't manage to clinch there - Mouth circles away.
Mouth keeps the fight on the outside.
Santana pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Santana looks to land a left hand but Mouth moved out of range nicely.
Mouth throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santana shoots and misses

and Mouth counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Mouth prevents Santana from improving his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mouth with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Santana has a hand on Mouth's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Mouth takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Santana holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Mouth tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Mouth is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Santana is in real trouble.

Mouth biding his time, looking for the opening.
Santana tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Mouth is landing with some decent strikes but Santana is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mouth pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Santana can't escape the position.
Mouth looking to control and managing it successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mush Mouth dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Santana shoots and misses
and Mouth connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A jab lands there for Mouth.
Santana misses with a lunging right hand

and Mouth counters with a shoot takedown. Santana fights it but they end up in guard.
Santana keeping moving, preventing Mouth from controlling successfully.
Santana working a defensive guard but Mouth manages to pass into side control anyway.
Santana is not content to let Mouth control the position.

A lull in the action here as Mouth stalls from top position.

Mouth tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mouth has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Santana is trying to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Santana trying to remain calm as Mouth controls from the top position.
Santana is looking to reverse the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Mouth decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Nice body punch from Santana.

Mouth shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mouth showed some decent athleticism there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mouth is tying to control. Santana wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Santana manages to get to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Santana wants to stand but Mouth is controlling the position.
Santana is trying to control the position but Mouth postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Santana tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Santana working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Mouth has passed into half guard!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mush Mouth dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Santana throws a lazy head kick
and Mouth counters with a series of strikes. Santana will be more careful next time no doubt.

Santana tries to clinch but Mouth moves away

and Mouth counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Santana is striking but Mouth is not phased and passes to half guard.
Mouth slows the pace down in half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Santana tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Mouth has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Mouth prevents Santana from getting the reversal.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Santana is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mouth trying to control but he's not successful this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mouth sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Santana trying desperately to get to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mouth takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Mush Mouth just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Santana swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Santana looks to clinch
and Mouth counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Jorge Santana has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight!
Mush Mouth showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Mouth has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
