5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyo Mitsuharu! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andazola tries to bum rush Mitsuharu with a series of wild strikes but Mitsuharu uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Andazola lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mitsuharu at a distance.
Nice takedown defense from Andazola. No joy for Mitsuharu on that attempt. Andazola throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mitsuharu fails with a takedown attempt. Andazola keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wayde Andazola has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyo Mitsuharu. Mitsuharu avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wayde Andazola seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mitsuharu takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Mitsuharu closes this distance looking for a takedown but Andazola circles away. Andazola scores with a jab. Mitsuharu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Andazola avoids it really well and circles away. Mitsuharu slips a jab and a cross from Andazola.

No luck for Mitsuharu with that takedown attempt. Mitsuharu closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Andazola did well to prevent Mitsuharu getting side control. Andazola pushes Mitsuharu off looking to stand but Mitsuharu dives back in and keeps control.

Mitsuharu is wobbled badly! Andazola comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Mitsuharu to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
