Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Night (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hasimir Fenring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Night might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Praise - Seven Dust. Fenring comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Opeth - The Grand Conjuration kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Night! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hasimir Fenring! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fenring lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Night circles away quickly and effectively. Fenring looks to land a combination but Night avoids it well. Fenring is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Night looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Fenring throws a right hand that Night ducks under and follows up with a left that Night also avoids with ease. A combination from Fenring does no damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Night gets the takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Night tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Night looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Night taking a breather here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Night tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Night wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fenring, who protects the arm well. Night throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fenring's waist but Fenring gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Night off to one side. Night closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fenring circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fenring stuffs the takedown attempt from Night. Night gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Night. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice sprawl there from Fenring as Night shoots in.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fenring throws a series of punches but Night avoids them all with ease. Night shoots in for a double leg but Fenring sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Night scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Night seems to be looking for submissions.

Night has gone for a leg lock! Fenring slips out almost immediately though and dives into Night's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Night is working an open guard so Fenring takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Hasimir Fenring is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Night slips a jab and a cross from Fenring.

A punch combination from Fenring misses. Fenring throws a nice looking combination but Night bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Night tries for a takedown but Fenring sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fenring fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fenring changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Fenring leaves Night with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Fenring rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Night moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Night bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hasimir Fenring showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Night will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Night fails with a takedown attempt. Fenring displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Night. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Fenring stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fenring wants it to stay on the feet. Night fails with the takedown. Hasimir Fenring seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Night shoots in but Fenring avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fenring tries to bum rush Night with a series of wild strikes but Night uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Night fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Fenring misses with a jab, cross combination.
Night dives in and grabs Fenring's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fenring pushes down on Night's head and hops out. Night tries for a takedown but Fenring sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Hasimir Fenring comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Fenring has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
