Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bunk Mcmoreland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bunk Mcmoreland!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richard Burns!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcmoreland displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Burns.
Mcmoreland closes this distance looking for a takedown but Burns circles away.
Burns fails with a takedown attempt.
Mcmoreland tries to clinch there but Burns circles away.
Mcmoreland fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mcmoreland throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Burns defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mcmoreland.

and Mcmoreland counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Burns looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Burns escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mcmoreland gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Burns is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mcmoreland is aware though and is defending well.

Mcmoreland shoots in but Burns avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Mcmoreland counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Burns on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Mcmoreland digs a good body shot into Burns's ribs.
Bunk Mcmoreland is winning the standup battle so far.
Burns will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mcmoreland lands a head kick. Burns smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Mcmoreland clinches up against the cage.
Mcmoreland is pushing Burns up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Burns tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Burns jumps guard but Mcmoreland stands there with Burns around his waist. Burns gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Bunk Mcmoreland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Burns.

Burns loads up on a big right hand but Mcmoreland slips the punch.

and Mcmoreland counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mcmoreland.

Burns looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mcmoreland puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mcmoreland trying to control the action but Burns is working from the bottom.
Burns tries to roll over but Mcmoreland keeps him under control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Burns is trying to get back to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mcmoreland tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Burns swivels and escapes.
Mcmoreland displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Burns.
The fight stays on the outside here - Mcmoreland looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Mcmoreland drives through and clinches with Burns against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mcmoreland wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Burns fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Burns moves into full mount! Mcmoreland won't be happy about that!

Burns shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mcmoreland as he avoids it easily.
Burns will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Burns closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Burns shoots for a double leg takedown but Mcmoreland sprawls well. He's pushed Burns's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bunk Mcmoreland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mcmoreland seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Burns does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Richard Burns has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Burns is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Mcmoreland rolls with it to try and escape but Burns cranks on the arm and Mcmoreland is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
