Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gadju Zahaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter comes to the cage accompanied by Dance Monkey -Sage Francis. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Matt Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gadju Zahaev!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Zahaev fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hunter throws a head kick that misses.
Zahaev shoots in for a double leg but Hunter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hunter closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Gadju Zahaev has been cut.
Hunter is looking to clinch.
Hunter closes the distance and pushes Zahaev back into the cage.
Zahaev can't get the takedown.
Matt Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gadju Zahaev.
Hunter tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Hunter looking to throw knees to the head but Zahaev is blocking nicely.
Hunter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hunter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zahaev paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Horrible takedown by Zahaev or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunter which made him look bad.
Zahaev tries for a takedown but Hunter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hunter is looking to clinch but Zahaev is avoiding it.
Hunter rushes Zahaev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hunter gets underhooks to prevent Zahaev's takedown attempt.
Hunter lands a knee to the head.
Hunter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunter lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Zahaev is rocked!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Zahaev.
Hunter lands a big head kick that sends Zahaev tumbling to the mat! Hunter takes a step backwards and waves Zahaev back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Zahaev is still on wobbly legs! Can Hunter finish him?
Hunter fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hunter feints and then cracks Zahaev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Zahaev down.
Zahaev seems to have recovered his senses.
Zahaev looks gassed!
Zahaev seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Hunter shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Zahaev is backing up but Hunter catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Zahaev covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Hunter Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matt Hunter!
