Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Duece Spade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Bunnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Duece Spade! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cody Bunnell! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spade closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Spade breaks the clinch.
Spade throws a nice looking combination but Bunnell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Spade lands a big head kick that sends Bunnell tumbling to the mat! Spade takes a step backwards and waves Bunnell back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Cody Bunnell has been cut. Bunnell shoots in and bounces Spade off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Bunnell advances to half guard. Spade is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bunnell seems to be looking for submissions.
Bunnell looks gassed! Spade looks like he's trying to stand up.
Spade knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bunnell on the ground. Spade desperately trying to maintain half guard. Bunnell is looking for a kimura but Spade is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bunnell to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spade trying to control from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Spade looks to land a combination but Bunnell avoids it well. Spade gets a clinch. Spade breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Spade looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Bunnell! BOOM! Spade connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Spade is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bunnell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bunnell shrugs it off. BOOM! Spade connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Bunnell tries to hold on but Spade postures up. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Bunnell is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Spade wants to control the pace but Bunnell is squirming around nicely. Spade avoids the attempt from Bunnell to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spade throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Spade is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bunnell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bunnell shrugs it off. Bunnell prevents any damage by holding on tight. Bunnell tries to lock up and control but Spade gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. BOOM! Spade connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bunnell is squirming around, avoiding Spade's attempts to control the action. Spade connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Despite being in the dominant position, Cody Bunnell just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Spade throws a sloppy head kick and Bunnell moves out of range easily. Bunnell takes one to the side of the head.
No luck for Bunnell with that takedown attempt. Spade lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Bunnell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Spade's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Duece Spade dominated that round. The cut man is working on Cody Bunnell's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Spade throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bunnell. Spade shoots in but Bunnell avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Spade. Bunnell shrugs it off though. Spade tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bunnell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Spade somewhat. Spade closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bunnell circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Duece Spade. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bunnell throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Spade was covering up waiting for the punch and Bunnell finishes the takedown easily into guard. Bunnell drops back, looking for a kneebar! Spade looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Spade looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Spade! Bunnell can't do much from the bottom here. Spade is looking to take a break and control but Bunnell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bunnell wants to control but Spade postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spade landing strikes. Spade working the body and head with strikes. Bunnell is trying to get back to half guard. Spade working away. Spade lands some shots froms side control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Spade closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bunnell to the mat! Bunnell manages to get full guard. Spade drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bunnell manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Spade has Bunnell in his guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Spade has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bunnell is proving hard to escape from. Spade trying to control but Bunnell is working from the bottom. Bunnell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Spade gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Bunnell looking for a guillotine here but Spade defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bunnell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Spade might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Spade has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bunnell is proving hard to escape from. Bunnell working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Spade. Bunnell pulls Spade in close to prevent any damage. Spade wants to stand but Bunnell is controlling his posture from full guard. Spade postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bunnell might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Spade kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Spade looks to land a combination but Bunnell avoids it well. A punch combination from Spade misses. Bunnell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spade swivels and escapes. Bunnell slips a jab and a cross from Spade.
Spade tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bunnell swats him away and circles back towards the center. Spade looks to land a combination but Bunnell avoids it well. Spade tries a head kick but it misses.
Spade scores a takedown into full mount! Spade looking to secure an arm triangle but Bunnell defends it well. Duece Spade overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Poor strikes thrown by Spade there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Duece Spade dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Cody Bunnell's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Spade throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bunnell. Bunnell shoots in and drives through. Spade sprawls well. Duece Spade seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spade throws the kick towards the body but Bunnell avoids it. Spade tries to clinch but Bunnell is having none of it. Bunnell avoids the body shot from Spade.
Spade throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Some wild striking there from Spade.
Bunnell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Bunnell is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Bunnell is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bunnell is working for an americana but Spade has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Bunnell was thinking about the submission. Spade wants to sweep here but Bunnell controlling him for the moment. Spade is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bunnell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bunnell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Spade as he jumps to the side. Spade throws a right and a left that both miss. Bunnell keeps the fight on the outside. Spade throws a body kick that misses. Spade gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bunnell to score an easy takedown into full guard. Bunnell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Spade is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Spade has escaped and now he's on top! Spade has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bunnell is proving hard to escape from.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bunnell is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Spade has his hands clasped together but Bunnell extends an breaks Spade's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bunnell.
