Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Harith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Franlkin!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Franklyn Lucas and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franlkin shoots in but Harith avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Franlkin misses with a head kick.
Franlkin shoots in for a takedown but Harith shows good takedown defense.
Franlkin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Harith thows a body shot but no joy.
Harith looks to land a combination but Franlkin avoids it well.
Harith fails to land with a series of punches.

Franlkin rushes Harith and presses him up against the cage.
Franlkin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Franlkin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Some wild striking there from Harith.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Franlkin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Harith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harith misses with a two punch combination.
Harith stuffs the takedown.
Jason Harith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Franlkin.
Harith misses with a double jab.

Franlkin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Franlkin goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Harith rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Franlkin's guard! Nice work there by Harith!
Harith stands and throws Franlkin's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Franlkin is looking to reverse the position.
Franlkin can't do much from the bottom here.
Franlkin stops Harith from passing to mount.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Franlkin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Harith scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Franlkin to see if he's OK.
Franlkin struggling a bit here.
Harith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Harith scores with punches from side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harith tries to advance to mount but Franlkin denies him.
Harith is breathing heavily.
You can see the frustration on Franlkin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Franlkin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Harith in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Harith tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Franlkin is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Franlkin is looking to regain half guard here but Harith keeps moving and retains side control.
Franlkin on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Franlkin is trying to control Harith's posture but Harith avoids it.

Harith has hold of Franlkin's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Franlkin seems comfortable defending it but Harith has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Franlkin is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Franlkin is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Harith couldn't care less - he's delighted!
