Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ricardinho Gabriel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Khan Singh! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gabriel looks to land a left hand but Singh moved out of range nicely. Singh misses with a wild combination.
Singh throws a series of punches but Gabriel moves out of range. Singh throws out a loose jab but Gabriel uses good head movement to avoid it. Singh with a body punch. A glancing blow. Gabriel dives in and grabs Singh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Singh pushes down on Gabriel's head and hops out. Singh defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gabriel. Singh swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gabriel. Gabriel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Singh tries to avoid it but Gabriel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Singh to the ground. Singh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricardinho Gabriel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gabriel moves forwards but Singh connects with a nice, crisp jab. Singh leaves Gabriel with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Singh defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gabriel. Singh is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gabriel's half guard. Gabriel keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Singh is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gabriel sees it coming and defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Gabriel manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Singh loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Singh decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gabriel, up you get! Singh tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gabriel was well out of range. Poor timing from Singh. Singh tests Gabriel's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gabriel misses with a takedown and Singh counters with a stiff right hand. Gabriel takes one to the chin there. A punch combination from Singh misses. Gabriel takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. A big right from Singh misses. Singh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gabriel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gabriel misses with a takedown attempt and Singh connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Gabriel shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Gabriel seems to be working for a kimura but Singh defends the submission attempt. Singh slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Singh tries to land a sweep but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gabriel throwing strikes but missing. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Singh is on top in guard.
Singh postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gabriel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Singh with a flurry of punches that miss. Gabriel manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Singh is desperately trying to improve his position but Gabriel has a good base and remains in mount. Singh bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Singh throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gabriel works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Gabriel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Singh doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Singh manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Singh throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Gabriel controls Singh momentarily but Singh frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Khan Singh dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Gabriel doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Khan Singh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gabriel with a lazy takedown attempt and Singh counters with a nice body shot. A head kick misses from Singh. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Singh!
It looks like Ricardinho Gabriel has been cut. Singh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Singh misses with a wild body shot. Gabriel walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Oh Gabriel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A decent looking body kick lands there for Singh. Gabriel seems to have got his legs back now. Gabriel on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Singh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Singh throws a head kick that misses. Singh bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gabriel's head backwards. Singh looks to score with a jab to the body but Gabriel is just out of range. Singh will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Singh fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gabriel looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Singh lands with an overhand left. Singh digs a good body shot into Gabriel's ribs. Ricardinho Gabriel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Singh scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Singh punishes Gabriel's body with a nice straight punch. Singh lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Singh fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Singh drops Gabriel with a huge uppercut! Gabriel drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Singh is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
