Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Linch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack OConnor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Linch! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack OConnor! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! OConnor misses with a takedown attempt - Linch sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. OConnor fails with a takedown attempt. OConnor is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jack OConnor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. OConnor cracks Linch with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Linch decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. OConnor kicks off Linch and gets to his feet. Linch throws a series of punches but OConnor avoids them all with ease. OConnor is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Linch's half guard. Linch is trying to control but can't.
Linch is refusing to be controlled, as OConnor sits in half guard. Linch is looking for a sweep. OConnor is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Linch is not content to let OConnor control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Linch looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Linch is looking to improve his position.
OConnor trying to control the pace. OConnor passes into side control, despite Linch's attempt to control the position.
Linch tries to buck OConnor off but OConnor is having none of it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Linch swats away the attempt to clinch by OConnor. Linch shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in OConnor's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Linch trying to control but OConnor is working from the bottom. Linch advances to half guard. Linch is breathing heavily. OConnor gets back to full guard.

OConnor wants to stand but Linch is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Linch is looking to advance position but OConnor has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! OConnor trying to control but Linch is having none of it. Linch on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Linch tries to get out of the position. OConnor looking to finish Linch with some ground and pound. This is bad for Linch! Linch is squirming around, avoiding OConnor's attempts to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. OConnor controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. OConnor can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Linch is looking to escape. Linch is working to get back to half guard.
Linch is working hard here to advance position. OConnor controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jack OConnor will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
OConnor fails with the takedown so Linch counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. OConnor has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Linch should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, OConnor has tightened it up now! Linch should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
