The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture misses with a wild combination.
Sedin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Couture.
Sedin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Couture's waist but Couture gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sedin off to one side.
Good standup being displayed there by Couture as he connects with a hook.
Sedin tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Couture misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Robert Couture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Couture throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Couture lands an overhand right.
Sedin closes the distance and clinches up with Couture, looking for a takedown. Sedin pushes Couture against the cage but Couture circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Couture dips to his left and cracks Sedin with an uppercut!
Couture tried to score with a low kick but Sedin checks it.
Couture misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Sedin shoots in for a takedown but Couture shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Robert Couture has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Henrik Sedin.
Couture's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Couture duly obliges.
Couture cracks Sedin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Sedin takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Couture throws a right hand that Sedin ducks under and follows up with a left that Sedin also avoids with ease.

Couture clinches up with Sedin and pushes him back against the cage.
Sedin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sedin has Couture pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Couture manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Couture throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Sedin blocks it with crossed arms.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Couture lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sedin backwards.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Couture lands an uppercut.
With the fighters up against the cage, Couture throws an elbow but misses.
Sedin looking for a takedown.
Couture lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sedin or not.
Sedin looks gassed!
Couture misses with an elbow over the top.
Couture prevents a takedown attempt there.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Couture pushes off an throws an elbow but Sedin leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Couture is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Sedin avoids a wild elbow strike from Couture.
Couture lands an elbow inside that Sedin shrugs off.

Couture utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Sedin can't get the takedown.
Couture is pushing Sedin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Couture pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Couture takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Robert Couture.
Couture lands a jab.
Sedin motions for Couture to come forward. Sedin throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Couture throws a right and a left that both miss.

Couture will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Couture connects with a single shot there.
Couture throws a combination. Sedin tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Sedin takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Sedin is rocked!
Couture throws a lazy right hand but Sedin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Sedin is still on wobbly legs! Can Couture finish him?
Robert Couture is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Couture waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Sedin.
Sedin takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Sedin seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sedin is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sedin walks straight into a right hand from Couture - that's dropped him! Couture jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Sedin from any more punishment! Sedin complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
