The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Landry takes a swing at Prennd's ribcage but misses. Landry fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Prennd manages to avoid it. Prennd slips a jab and a cross from Landry.

Prennd looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Prennd should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Prennd is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Landry sees it coming and defends easily. Prennd is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Prennd is trying to work for a kimura but Landry is defending well.
Prennd is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prennd is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Landry defends it well. Prennd prevents Landry from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Landry is staying active underneath Prennd, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Prennd seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Prennd is looking for a kimura here.
Prennd missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Landry is trying to get back to full guard. Prennd is working for a submission of some sort.
Prennd is looking for a kimura but Landry is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Prennd to get the leverage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prennd is thwarting Landry's attempts to control the position. Prennd is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Landry has managed to free his arm - good work. Prennd trying to control from half guard but Landry is working away. Prennd is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Landry is just riding it out for now. Prennd eventually gives up the hold. Landry on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Landry tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Landry looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Prennd thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Prennd wants to work for an arm triangle but Landry is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Prennd thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Landry's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
BJ Prennd dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Prennd bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Landry wants to clinch. Landry lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Prennd circles away from the clinch attempt.

Good shot there by Landry. Landry lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Prennd circles away quickly and effectively. Landry scores with a punch to the head. Prennd looks to throw the jab but Landry is out of range. Landry leaves Prennd with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Prennd looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Landry is fending him off so far but Prennd persists. Nope, Landry circles away and we're back to standing. Prennd drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prennd works a leg free and moves into half guard. Landry is trying to stand up here but Prennd is controlling him well. Landry wants to control but Prennd is keeping busy.
Prennd throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Landry is trying to stand.
Prennd seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Landry is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
