Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wellen Dowd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is La Chica Sexy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dowd moves away from the strike by Diaz.
Diaz thuds his right hand into Dowd's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Diaz throws a solid leg kick but Dowd takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Diaz.
Dowd works over Diaz's head and body with a nice combination.
Diaz misses with the combination.
Some bone on bone action there as Dowd checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Dowd goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Diaz misses with a double jab
and Dowd counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dowd swings for the body but Diaz moves out of range.
A clash of legs there as Dowd blocks the low kick.
Dowd scores with a shot to the body.
Dowd lands a jab-cross combination.
Diaz throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dowd.

Dowd swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Diaz counters with a good low kick that Dowd was not able to check.
Dowd ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dowd closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Diaz did well to prevent Dowd getting side control.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dowd cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Diaz is trying to escape the mount.
Dowd is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Diaz can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Dowd fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Dowd lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The referee warns Diaz that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dowd is landing with some decent strikes but Diaz is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Diaz is rocked!
Dowd lands a nice shot to the head.
Oh Diaz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Diaz takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Dowd's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
