The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lukens shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Floyd as he jumps to the side.

Jimi Floyd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fritz Lukens.

Lukens looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lukens prevents Floyd from standing back up.
Lukens takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Floyd is trying to stand back up but Lukens is controlling him

Lukens on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lukens tries to get out of the position.
Floyd wants to get back to his feet but Lukens drags him back down.
Lukens has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lukens is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Floyd knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
