Mathisen has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Runar Mathisen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cargo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cargo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mathisen sprawls well initially but Cargo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Cargo moves in looking to clinch but Mathisen pushes him off.

Cargo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mathisen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mathisen wants it to stay on the feet.

Cargo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mathisen to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mathisen shrugs it off.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mathisen is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Despite being in the dominant position, Craig Cargo just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cargo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Cargo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mathisen has escaped the position, nice work there.
Cargo has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Cargo misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Mathisen tries to improve his position but instead Cargo has taken his back!

Craig Cargo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Mathisen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Cargo has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Mathisen defend it? Cargo steps over the head and cranks it - Mathisen is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Cargo!
