Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abula Babu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Mercurious (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Abula Babu has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Abula Babu seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babu missing with a left hand there. Mercurious was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Mercurious fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mercurious misses with a straight right.
A lazy left from Mercurious finds it's target.
Mercurious lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Babu is rocked!
Babu tries to bum rush Mercurious with a series of wild strikes but Mercurious uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Babu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Babu wants it to stay on the feet.

Mercurious looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Babu wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Mercurious manages to pass to side control.
Babu is doing well to control the position and prevent Mercurious from advancing to side control.
Babu is staying active underneath Mercurious, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Mercurious uses his free foot to push down on Babu's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Babu.

Mercurious throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Babu really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Mercurious looking to control but Babu is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mercurious scoring with strikes but Babu is staying in there.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mercurious controlling the pace for now.
Babu in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Babu is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big strike lands for Mercurious! That's really hurt Babu and he's turned his back - Mercurious keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Mercurious jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
