The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watanabe shoots for a takedown but Xerman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Xerman slaps away a takedown attempt from Watanabe, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Luigi Watanabe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Watanabe closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Xerman lands a left and a right that send Watanabe crashing to the mat, dazed. Xerman thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Xerman connects with a superb combination that knocks Watanabe out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Xerman before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Watanabe!
