Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Svyatoslav Kudryavtsev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randall Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferreira closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Kudryavtsev has Ferreira pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Ferreira manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Ferreira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kudryavtsev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Ferreira controls Kudryavtsev momentarily but Kudryavtsev frees himself.

Kudryavtsev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ferreira swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kudryavtsev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ferreira throws a right hand that Kudryavtsev ducks under and follows up with a left that Kudryavtsev also avoids with ease.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ferreira misses with a series of wild punches.

Kudryavtsev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ferreira as he avoids it easily.

You can see the frustration on Ferreira's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kudryavtsev misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ferreira pushes Kudryavtsev away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kudryavtsev gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kudryavtsev has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ferreira is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Kudryavtsev yanks on the arm and Ferreira is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Kudryavtsev.
