Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jude Dred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raul Ewing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raul Ewing will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Raul Ewing!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ewing leaves Dred with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Ewing breaks the clinch.
Dred shoots in for a takedown but Ewing shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Ewing scores a takedown into full mount!
BOOM! Ewing connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Dred tries to lock up and control but Ewing gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Ewing wants to control but Dred has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
Dred holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Ewing trying to control from Dred's half guard. Dred has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dred manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ewing manages to get himself to full guard.

Ewing is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dred bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Dred is trying to drag Ewing to the mat but Ewing just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Dred is squirming around, avoiding Ewing's attempts to control the action.

Dred reaches up and holds on to Ewing to control the position.
Ewing throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Dred is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Dred wants to hold on but Ewing pushes him away.

The fighters are battling for position here. Dred manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dred tries for a takedown but Ewing circles away easily

and Ewing counters with a shoot takedown. Dred fights it but they end up in guard.
Ewing looking to sit in guard and control but Dred gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Dred is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Dred lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dred scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Dred is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Dred chips away with some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!



Dred fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ewing sprawls well initially but Dred persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Ewing is in a horrible position here. Dred smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Ewing is still in real trouble! Can Dred finish him?
Dred cracks Ewing with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
