The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Sofa or perhaps it was just good defense by Christopherson which made him look bad.
Christopherson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sofa circles away.
Christopherson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sofa fails with the takedown
and Christopherson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sofa won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Christopherson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sofa has escaped the position, nice work there.
Sofa is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Sofa sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Sofa is trying to control but can't.
Sofa is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Christopherson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
