Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between HH Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frankie Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Holmes.
Holmes looks to land a right hand but Smith moved out of range.

Smith is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Holmes's half guard.

Smith is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Holmes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Holmes looks to land a combination. Smith sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Holmes throws a strike but Smith rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Smith drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smith jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holmes swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Smith has closed the distance and engaged Holmes in a clinch.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick from Smith lands but Holmes takes it in his stride.

and Smith counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Holmes!
Holmes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
You get the feeling that Holmes really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Smith is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Holmes is surviving well by controlling Smith's body position as best he can.
HH Holmes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Smith has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Holmes's face.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Holmes avoids a strike by Smith and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Smith's guard! Fantastic escape!
