Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Muerte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Wall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul Wall will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Muerte! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Wall! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Muerte keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wall fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Muerte looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Muerte is looking to clinch. Muerte doesn't manage to clinch there - Wall circles away.
Wall moves into range and clinches up with Muerte. Wall tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Muerte just stands there and leans against the cage. Wall is trying to break the clinch but Muerte has him pressed against the cage. Muerte stops a takedown attempt from Wall.
Thiago Muerte has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Wall. Wall can't break the clinch.

Wall drags the fight down to the ground.
Wall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Muerte. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Muerte is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Wall is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Muerte lands a couple of digs. Muerte pushes down on Wall's leg and manages to get into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Muerte connects with a nice short shot to Wall's temple.
Wall is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Muerte works his foot free and advances to mount. Wall is still in real trouble! Can Muerte finish him? Wall defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Muerte. Muerte working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Wall seems to have recovered his senses. Muerte with the ground and pound from mount.
It looks like Paul Wall has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Muerte looking for a guillotine from mount but Wall is having none of it. Muerte is working for a guillotine from mount but Wall frees his head quite easily.
Muerte is breathing heavily. Muerte in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Muerte working the ground and pound effectively.
Muerte looking to control but Wall is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Muerte is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Wall can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Wall tries to hold on but Muerte pushes him away. Wall is desperately trying to improve his position but Muerte has a good base and remains in mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wall has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Muerte is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Wall has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Muerte is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Wall taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Muerte.
