Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corwin Anstey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Webb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Anstey might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gonna Fly Now . Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mario Webb!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webb moves in looking to clinch but Anstey pushes him off.
Webb misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Webb misses with a jab, cross combination.
Anstey will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Webb throws a left and a right that both miss

and Anstey counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Webb won't allow Anstey to pass to mount.

Anstey looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Anstey is trying to control the action in half guard but Webb is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Anstey is looking to work some ground and pound but Webb has wrist control.
Anstey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anstey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Anstey is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

and Anstey counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Anstey postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Webb is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Anstey, into his guard.
Webb prevents Anstey from getting back to his feet.

Anstey kicks Webb off and gets to his feet.
Anstey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Webb tries to avoid it but Anstey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Webb to the ground. Webb escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Webb looks like he's trying to stand up.

Anstey shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Webb as he jumps to the side.

Webb is staying active underneath Anstey, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Anstey thows a huge punch but Webb dodges it nicely.

Webb really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anstey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Anstey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Webb keeps working.
Anstey is stalling here. Webb is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Anstey seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Webb has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Webb wants to stand but Anstey is controlling his arm.

Webb stuffs the takedown attempt from Anstey. Anstey gets slowly back to his feet.

Anstey creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Webb sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Webb holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Anstey tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Anstey misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Anstey breaks from Webb's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Mario Webb has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Webb takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Anstey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
